Julie Arldt-McAlister, FNP
Julie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her love for health and wellness began in college while majoring in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. While she was educated on the fundamentals of nutrition and dietary counseling, she wanted to dive deeper into healthcare and was drawn to nursing for the holistic-model of patient care, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit as a pursuit for health.
Julie has worked in a variety of settings, including intensive care, pediatrics, research, gastroenterology, and cardiology specialties. While exploring her own health issues, she strived for more answers. She sought out care for herself from a variety of alternative health practitioners, including chiropractors, acupuncturists, and naturopaths. These providers opened her eyes to a new world of medicine, leading her to enroll in graduate school at Texas State University, as they were one of the only universities in the country to offer a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an Integrative Health Focus. Julie had the opportunity to be mentored by a variety of functional medicine and integrative health providers, where she felt right at home in a place that offered everything she was looking for. Her passion is to provide personalized care and work collaboratively with her patients to find the root-cause of their ailment and treat it in a holistic, individualized manner.
